I was hanging out at my mom's house one boring afternoon in the summer of 2013. No one else was home at the time and I had just listened to William Basinski's 'Disintegration Loop 1' for the first time. The song put me in a sort of trance and I immediately wrote this song afterwards. I recorded it on my mom's back porch with my phone (hence the birds and overall poor sound quality). I'd often go back and listen to the song months and months after I had recorded it and nearly a year after I first recorded it on my phone I decided to throw it into Pro Tools and add an electric guitar and cello.

Jump ahead some 5 months later...

I wasn't quite satisfied enough with my mixing abilities on 'Tower' so I gave it to my friend Jeremy Garrett to mix in the October 2014. It only took him about a half hour to do, but I felt much better about it in the end. This single offers both mixes.
